The NT20067/NT20R67 is a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with automatic gain control (AGC) manufactured in an advanced sub-micron, pure-CMOS process. The AGC allows around 45 dB dynamic range, giving an ultra low-cost, yet ultra-high-performance solution for all long- and short-reach ATM, SONET and Fast Ethernet products.
The gain of NT20R67 is designed to be about one fourth of that of NT20067, providing design flexibility for different applications.
For optimum system performance the NT20067/NT20R67 die should be mounted with a silicon or InGaAs PIN photodetector inside a lensed TO-can.
A monitor pad is included which sinks an averaged copy of the photocurrent. This can be used for photodiode alignment and for mean power detection. |
